What is the meaning of assimilation the meaning is the process of talking in a fully understanding information or ideas. How do students try to assimilation ? Some students may wear there traditional clothing or eat there traditional food. Some students may speak in there traditional language. Some students may where there clothes in a certain way to represent there culture. Some students may draw or use others creative ways to represent there culture. Personal I think that students should not give up there cultural identity in new environments just because some people might be offended by that person’s culture or that person my stereotypical about that person culture. I think the only time a person should give there cultural identity is when they are in a environment they are comfortable with. How Richmond Hill High is similar to Beachwood because a lot of people keep there cultural identity to themselves.
How the two school are different because people do not assimilate to fit in.The benefits to assimilating to a new culture is that you can meet new people and make new friends and learn about a new culture. How some students try combat assimilation is they surround themselves with the right people to help them stay true to themselves. I think it is effective to themselves and it benefits them in a certain way. How does the history of assimilation in the United States help me view this topic is it helps me open up my mind.
